Waugh Office was established in 2011 by Julia and Mark Waugh.
A hybrid platform. working with curators, writers, theorists and artists to smudge
cultural differences and attitudes across physical and national borders.
. Pushing the programme, exploring the traffic in ideas that are nomadic,
with a focus on perceptions rather than stereotypes and assumptions.
We come to play, escape prejudice and shout for renegade
values of the unfixable, broken and unhomely.

Strange Love Festival
Folkestone 2017
Artist's films curated by Julia Waugh for a cold afternoon in on the English South Coast in Folkestone. These works focused questions of the outside and distance, subtly negotiating spacial borders either physical, metaphorical or cultural.
If constraints are a necessity in societal organisation, it is the parameters of these restriction that can be questioned for example artist's such as Semiconductor reinterpret the information of STEM institutions, not easily available to the public.Artur Żmijewski is know for relentlessly making visible those who are more than often excluded from Social or any other media and Felicity Allen proves that the desire not to see things, because of the way they are perceived or even make you feel, reiterates prejudice.
